# Activating email notification

 * I’ve got the options in my admin panel set to email me whenever anyone posts 
   a comment / one is held for moderation, yet I receive no email. I designed my
   theme based off of the default theme, so I’m using that comments.php file. I’ve
   played around with the wp_notify functions, with no result. Do I need to define
   a mail server somewhere?

 * Will one of the threads from [here](http://wordpress.org/search/send+mail+setup+on+host..+spencerp?forums=1)
   help maybe? Also, are you sure you have SEND MAIL setup on your host? Maybe someone
   else around here will help you better though.. Either way, good luck! 😉 🙂
