# Activating certain plugins causes server error

 * After installing wordpress successfully, I installed a widely used plugin. However,
   when I activated the plugin, I got the following error (or a blank page):
 * Server error
    The website encountered an error while retrieving [http://helpmove.us/wordpress/](http://helpmove.us/wordpress/).
   It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly. Here are some suggestions:
   Reload this webpage later. HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected
   condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request.
 * I don’t have any other plugins activated and when I deactivate the plugin, wordpress
   seems to function properly. Any suggestions?

 * Perhaps the plugin isn’t compatible with your current version of your WordPress.
   You may delete that plugin and try to re-download and re-install them again
