    Hi team,

Nikola here from the ManageWP support team. If you’re not familiar with us, ManageWP is a product which lets you manage multiple WordPress sites all though one dashboard.

Now, regarding the issue at hand, I wanted to report some issues a client of ours has been experiencing with the Breeze plugin. We also tested this out on several of our test accounts and websites, and were able to replicate the behavior. Namely, the Breeze plugin is having issues with two particular commands: Activate & Deactivate. It appears that Breeze isn’t catching our activate & deactivate commands properly. The other plugins are working absolutely fine with all commands alike.

For example, when using an Nginx server, this is the error that occurs when attempting to do either, but only if the caching option is activated:
“Breeze_Configuration” not found occurred in wp-content/plugins/breeze/inc/breeze-admin.php on line 686.

`The same error appears on line 701 if the caching option is deactivated. In both instances, the request attempts to edit the “.htaccess” file which, unfortunately, does not exist on the Nginx web server. A slightly different error appears on an Apache server, with a different class failure. However, despite the fact that the “.htaccess” file does get updated, the process still fails. The Breeze plugin, however, can be activated upon installation or deactivated and deleted, but it can not be activated or deactivated separately.

The most confusing thing about the issue is that ManageWP essentially sends a command to the website’s wp-admin update to do the deed. There should be no difference in how ManageWP itself handles the activation or deactivation of the plugin. However, the Breeze plugin creates a conflict with the request, hence these failures and strange behavior.

The client has advised that most of his websites are hosted on Vutlr via Cloudways, and that some are hosted in Litespeed servers via NameHero. The testing was done with several versions of the Breeze plugin, including the latest one (2.0.8).

Any insight that you may have into this will be extremely helpful. If some more information is needed, please feel free to get back to me and I’ll be happy to provide it.

    Kind regards,
    Nikola Savkovic
