Activate Shortcodes in Widgets

You can use Grid WUD to display content generated by shortcodes in widgets.
By default, any text entered into the text widget goes through WordPress filters which doesn’t allow shortcodes to be executed.

Instead of seeing the final result, you will see the shortcode itself as plain text.
Our plugin: Shortcode Widget WUD activates easily shortcodes in your WordPress sidebar widgets.
Upon activation, you need to visit Appearance » Widgets page.
There you will find a text widget in the list of available widgets.

Simply add a text widget to a sidebar and then add your shortcode in the content box.
You can test it with the built in shortcode: [sww-test]
