# Activate plugins

 * I uploaded wp-o-matic to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory, and when I go to
   Plugins in the wordpress software, it shows up. The problem is that when I click
   Activate, I get a weird error page. Can someone please tell me what this page
   means. Thanks.

 * Your host is running php in safe mode. Some plugins and such won’t work properly(
   or sometimes at all) in safe mode.
