# Activate Plugin Error Message

 * Once I was able to upload the Sharedaddy plugin I got the following error:
 * Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION
   or T_VAR or ‘}’ in /homepages/23/d91537928/htdocs/sitename/sitename/wp-content/
   plugins/sharedaddy/sharing.php on line 4
 * Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

 * Delete the sharedaddy plugin. If necessary, use [FTP](http://codex.wordpress.org/FTP_Clients)(
   or use whatever file management application your host provides) to delete the
   plugin’s folder in wp-content/plugins.
