Support » Theme: Twenty Twenty-One » activate landing page / customize displayed site

I created a landing page using the theme “twenty-twenty-one.” I published it. Now I want to use it as the displayed site, but the landing page doesn’t appear as landing page. I have no idea how to activate it. I usually click customize / homepage settings / a static page and find it in the dropdown menu. Any hints?

Hi @mariamarlene! Could you provide a link to your site, as well as a link to the page that you’re trying to set as the homepage, so I can have a look directly?

The most common reason a page doesn’t appear as an option in the Customizer’s Homepage Settings area is that it isn’t yet published, but you mentioned it’s already been published. Could you please double-check that it’s both published and public? If it was accidentally set to private it won’t show.

Let me know how it goes!

I guess the thing is, I created the site not as “page”, I used “Templates / Landing Page”. This is the homepage but you only see the “hello world” 😉 http://www.autline.at/hub/

    thanks in advance!

I used “Templates / Landing Page”

Hmm, are you using Elementor to build your site? This sounds like an Elementor page builder plugin question rather than a theme question, because Twenty Twenty-One doesn’t have templates built in. 🙂

Templates aren’t pages, they are just containers for content. That’s likely why you’re not able to select it as your homepage.

Great! I’ll mark this thread as resolved, but if you need further help relating to the theme itself, do feel free to make a new post.
