    Hi Merzakabderrahim (fantastic name!)

Please note that only custom post types that are set to be public will be available to BTF. So hidden post types, posts and pages will not be available. If you’re certain that the post types you want to apply BTF to ticks all the boxes I can continue helping you 🙂

Hey, I got the same problem.
In my category “recipies” I got a few sub-categories that I´d like to be able to filter with this plugin.
In the basic menu it is working just fine. In the settings of this plugin however, there is nothing to chose from.
    Any ideas?

    Hi,

Please note that BTF does not work with the built in category (or tags). If recipies is a category it will not work. You’d have to create a custom taxonomy named recipies and use that instead 🙂

There’s more info about why this is in the FAQ section.

    Thank’s for your answer.
“You’d have to create a custom taxonomy named recipies”
How would I do that? Can not find it in the plugin settings or in my posts.
I’d like to do the following. Inside my category “recipies” there are things like, fish, meat, veggy, …
On my website you can see all posts from my category “recipies”. Now I’d like to put buttons, that the user can click on that say “fish”, “meat” and so on … and then only the recipies from the said sub-category remain. Is this possible at all with this plugin? If so, I’m happy to work myselfe into it 🙂
    Best regards!

    Hi,

you say category so I will assume that you are talking about the regular categories connected to posts in WordPress. BTF does not currently support those or regular posts.

Based on your desired functionality it also does not sound like BTF is what you’re looking for. It works best when used with multiple taxonomies (https://codex.wordpress.org/Taxonomies).

I think you’re looking for something more of a filter navigation plugin. maybe something like: https://sv.wordpress.org/plugins/search-filter/screenshots/
