I was wondering how I might be able to have a search bar that just searches blog posts.

I have one ACPS bar with a taxonomy search that works very well, but the widget search bar for my blog has been overridden with the taxonomy search. Would love to keep the blog search separate–

Is there a way to create a separate search bar that just searches posts?

When you say its been overridden, how exactly is this the case? They should function as separate entities but if there is a bug which causes this I’d obviously be keen on fixing it.

    Shane,

Hi! Happy to send you a private link to the site.

I basically have two sections — a regular blog, and a taxonomy of help articles.

I’ve set up your search plugin for help articles and it works very well —

I’ve tried to set up a default search widget on the blog page (WordPress standard), but when I do the page displays the help articles custom taxonomy widget.

No worries at all. I hope what I sent you before I left the office was of use. It’s because of your custom searchform.php file.

I’ve wrapped this up with ‘resolved’, just throw me a direct email if you are still struggling to get it working based on what I explained.
