    Hello!

I have a website using Woocommerce Subscriptions. Currently, clients sign up using credit card information and then a different payment gateway (Intuit) processes the charge and automatically charges the card on file every month.

I have a client that wants to sign up with ACH instead of a credit card.

Does this plugin, specifically the ACH payment method portion, work seamlessly with Woocommerce Subscriptions for automatic recurring payments?

If so, will I have to create and pay for a Plaid account to do so?

    Hi @markjszymanski,

    Yes, it works seamlessly.

If so, will I have to create and pay for a Plaid account to do so?

As of now yes, but we are working on an update that uses the new Stripe ACH features. Future versions won’t rely on Plaid.

That is great to hear! Thank you!

Any estimated timeline on the integration directly with Stripe ACH?

    Did this ever get implemented?

    Hi @markjszymanski,

We have been working with Stripe on this implementation and the messaging so it won’t be included in the new release coming out today. We do expect it to be part of the next release however.

The delay is due to ensuring that all existing Plaid subscriptions continue to process automatically for merchants that have been using the current ACH integration. It’s very important that existing ACH payments are not interrupted in any way and that merchants understand that the new ACH functionality is comparable to what Plaid offered.

Sounds good, just checking. Thank you for the update!

Hi @markjszymanski 👋🏻 – thanks for getting this thread started! 🙂

@mrclayton – thanks for monitoring these forums! We are also looking forward to the day when Stripe’s own version of ACH will make its way into WooCommerce, and it looks like PaymentPlugins may be the ones to do it! I read of the importance of making sure the current Plaid subscriptions continue uninterrupted, so I know it is more complex than one might realize, but I just wanted to chime in to have one additional voice say, “Thanks!” for even working on it. We’ll look forward to finding out when it might be ready as it will help so many nonprofits and individuals especially when it comes to accepting payments.

No expectation on a reply! Thanks for reading this if/as able!

Thanks, @calebweeks! Happy to hear others would benefit from this feature as well.

@mrclayton, I saw that there was an update pushed on 8/24. I don’t see it mentioned in the changelog, so I’m hoping to get an update on the timeline.

    Thanks!

Thank you so much for the update @mrclayton and for letting us know!

I will personally look forward to using this. It really is such a gift to so many working in the nonprofit space as well as sole proprietors, etc. where every dollar helps!

Congratulations on working it in and being the first to do so (that I am aware of)!
