    I’m using ACF (Advanced Custom Fields) to grab the Rumble oEmbed URL dynamically via an Elementor Pro page template. It was working fine last week, but when I logged in this morning, the URL is displaying in the template (and on the homepage where the template is being used), instead of the video render from the iframe URL.

    Steps to Reproduce:

    1. Install, update, and activate the following:
    • WordPress 6.2
    • Astra Theme
    • Elementor (Lite)
    • Elementor Pro
    • Advanced Custom Fields
    • CPT UI
    • EmbedPress
    1. Create a field set in ACF that includes a field named “Rumble oEmbed URL”
    2. Make the “type” of that field “oEmbed”
    3. Associate that field set to a new custom post type (CPT) called “imported video”
    4. Create a new imported video post
    5. Set https://rumble.com/embed/v2cqelu/?pub=6b71p as the “Rumble oEmbed URL” field value
    6. Edit the new post with Elementor
    7. Add an EmbedPress widget to the post
    8. Leave source name at “Default”
    9. Set “Embedded Link” value to “ACF Field (Rumble oEmbed URL)”
    10. Save and view the post on the front end

    || EXPECTED BEHAVIOR:

    A video of a man in a cowboy hat and an American flag behind him should render.

    || ACTUAL BEHAVIOR:

    The video doesn’t render. Instead, the URL is displayed.

    || AFFECTED URL:

    This is on dev (my laptop) so it’s not a live site yet

    Hello @codeslayer2010,

    Greetings. Hope you’re doing good.

    Really sorry to hear that. Thanks for your very clear step-by-step issue reproducing information.

    I have tried to recreate the same scenario by following your above-mentioned steps and found that It’s working perfectly on my end. I have made a video of this full checking process, you may also check this: https://d.pr/v/CnF1Jd

    However, would you kindly make sure that you’re using the latest versions of Elementor and EmebedPress plugins? If yes, kindly provide me with the live page URL where you have embedded the Rumble oEmbed URL dynamically. So that we can check and assist you easily with that.

    Looking forward to helping you. Thank you!

    Thanks so much for your quick reply, @paulamit !

    Hmm… I can see from your video that following my steps it works for you. I also notice you are on an HTTPS domain, whereas the issue I’m having is on HTTP (my laptop). I pushed DEV to STAGING and which has http protocol and the video shows up fine there also.

    So, it appears the issue is that Rumble videos won’t display on localhost (http), but with the exact same WordPress setup, it displays fine on a live http URL.

    Any ideas on how I can get the Rumble videos to show up on DEV?

    Thanks!

    Hi @codeslayer2010,

    I hope you’re doing well. Would you kindly try again by activating the SSL on the dev end? If you want you can try this plugin as well: https://wordpress.org/plugins/really-simple-ssl/

    Hope it helps. Let me know how it goes then.

    Thank you!

    Thanks for the suggestion Amit! The videos seem to be rendering again on DEV just fine, but if I have this problem again I will try the Really Simple SSL plugin you suggested.
