ACF Gallery + WP3 Broadcast

    Hello,

    I recently switched over to ACF and have been setting it up to work with 3WP Broadcast. Everything was working great until I noticed that one of the posts I’d broadcasted had mixed up the images on the child post (it was getting the images from a different post that had been broadcasted). When I checked, both the child post and the child post it was pulling from had messed up the images.

    From my research, I see that there is an add on for ACF gallery support but before I purchase this add on, I wanted to see if it was necessary as there was only an issue with those 2 posts out of 13.

    My set up:
    Wordpress Multisite (running 4.7)
    ACF Pro 5.5.3 (Network Activated)
    3WP Broadcast (Network Activated)
    CPT “Portfolio” (set up on both parent and child sites)
    ACF Group “Porfolio Details” (set up on both parent and child sites)
    All content from CPT “Portfolio” parent site is shared over with the exception of the gallery

    (I see you contacted me via e-mail, but I’ll paste in my answer here for everyone else also.)

    I don’t think they’ve swapped images as much as the child post is using the same image IDs as the parent post – but the image IDs don’t match up 100% on both the parent and child blogs.

    Generally, the ACF Broadcast add-on will take care of copying the attachments and translating their IDs in the post content.

    Any further conflicts will then be caused by several posts sharing the same images, but if you don’t have any of those then the ACF add-on should suffice.

    It hasn’t even been 24 hours into 2017 and I’ve already solved a problem for somebody. Of course 2017 is happy for me. 🙂

    You’ve actually been more help than you can possibly know. You encouraged me to switch to ACF and after much feet dragging, I did so and am loving it. Wish I hadn’t been so stubborn and just bought the add-on right away!
