  • Hi, I run a very active blog averaging 300-600 users online at any one time throughout the day. I received a warning from my hosting company [hostgator], that I was already running out of bandwidth and using too much of the server resources.

    This is only 7 days into the month and I have 100gb bandwidth per month.

    They told me to make sure I enabled caching. So I put the site back online for about 10 minutes and while I was looking in the admin panel for anything related to “caching” — the site goes down. This time my account was suspended.

    It’s still off line. Soon as I find out what the ransom is and get the site back up, I’ll need to find out how to reduce the amount of resources my blog uses.

    Can anyone help — or give me suggestions on what to do next. I cannot go to a VPS or dedicated server since I dont have the tech skills for that.

    ps — I removed parts of plugins that might have caused some problems like “wp-users online” and “wp-stats.”
