    It is supposed to say “This account has been locked”.

    Is that a plugin bug?

    No – because it does so for me. Do you have any security plugins activated?

    Good guess. “Secure WordPress by WebsiteDefender” was causing the problem. I deactivated the plugin and the locked message started working. I’ve reenabled the plugin but everything is still working…
