    Hello,

Just a quick heads up for the plugins Devs and others..

    This is a great plugin..

However, for those of you out there using WooCommerce; after a WooCommerce update to 5.6.0 you will need to deactivate this plugin and then purge your personal browsers and any test browsers Cookies and Cache then re-activate this plugin else you will have problems with with account access to different levels of WooCommerce even as an admin, and the Gutenberg editor will not play nice.

    Things like:
    1. All WooCommerce block widgets will not be displayed in your Gutenberg editor block listing.
    2. Custom field listings float half way up the editor page when it should be at the botton naturally.
    3. WooCommerce Home page will be blank.
    4. Featured products will not display in the editor.
    5. many more.

Seems SiteGround Security management does not like the way WooCommerce has made its changes and hence a clash forms.

The latest WooCommerce update 5.6.0 has touched many areas some of which are account access and the way it has been implemented, this means a browser purge is needed to bring back normal functionality.

From now on whenever WooCommerce is updated I will be carrying this task out as a standard practice.

    Just food for thought.

    Andrew

    Hey there @andrewmperryman,

    Thank you for the heads-up!

We always perform various tests for compatibility between SiteGround Security and most-used plugins before releasing a new version. We’ve performed various tests with WooCommerce, to make sure that everything is working smoothly.

I’ve made some tests for the issues you’ve mentioned and was not able to replicate any of them. It’s possible that they were caused by browser cache.

However, if you notice strange behavior, please provide additional details on how to replicate the issues as well as a site URL, so we can investigate to the fullest.

Once again, thank you for the heads up! Feel free to reach back to us if any of the issues are present again.

    Kind regards,
    Stoyan

    Hello @stoyangeorgiev

Thanks for the response and being thorough.. 🙂

Yes, bowser cache… I could not be sure if it was a combination of both cookie and cache or just cache.

So I thought it worth while to broadcast the need to clear it (stating the obvious) as users may not naturally think to do this first thus helping to stop any unnecessary head scratching.. so to speak.

BTW.. Great plugin.. I love its features. 🙂

    Regards

    Andrew
