• I like the simplicity of this plugin for installs that don’t need a complex hierarchy of user roles. However, there is one issue that I’ve come across with respect to creating new user accounts. When an account is created in the back-end by an administrator an activation email is generated to the new account’s email address. The activation link in the email is blocked by the “By default, only members can view pages” option of Member Access. Unchecking this option will allow the activation link to function but then one must manually click the radio button to make each page restricted to members only (this is bound to cause inadvertent exposure of private material at some point).

Is there any way that the activation link can be unrestricted? Or a check box provided to either allow or disallow access to the account activation page?

    Thanks!

  • The WP Activation email is a pluggable function, I wonder how much trouble it would be to add an option to that to this member-access plugin …
