[Resolved] Accordions Not Working

  • I do most of my development on a Windows 7 lap top (and always patched up to date), with XAMPP 1.7.4.

On older versions of wordpress, I’ve had no problems using a variety of Accordion Plugins, e.g.: Accordion Shortcode, Arconix Shortcodes, Collapse-O-Matic, Content Accordion, Squelch Tabs and Accordions Shortcodes (c.f. Hintonstgeorge.org.uk, and select what’s on).

In my dev environment I now have WordPress 3.5.1 and none of these plugins work! They work when I install them in the Linux environment provided by my hosting provider.

Is there a fix for this, or is it a core WordPress Bug, jQuery issue or something else? Any solutions gratefully recieved. By the way, I don’t seem to be the first to have this problem – perhaps the other people with the problem are using Windows too?

  • Having done some more investigation, with WordPress 3.5.1 the accordion works in content items such as Posts, and in the code for Plugins. It does not work anywhere else (e.g. some php code in template files).
