    Hi Chris,

Horizontal accordions are NOT responsive (yet). This is a limitation of the horizontal accordion library that the plugin relies on. Please see http://wordpress.org/support/topic/responsive-35?replies=4

It’s something I’d like to add in at some point in the future, but I don’t have time to do it any time soon. If Nicola Hibbert, author of liteAccordion, should release a new version that is responsive then I’d integrate it straight away, but hacking someone else’s well tested and carefully thought out code to add responsive features is a recipe for disaster!

Interestingly liteAccordion DID have responsive functionality for a short period, but Nicola chose to remove those features again for stability reasons. From the liteAccordion website:

Responsive layout and auto scale images options removed

After some consideration, I’ve decided to remove the responsive options. In it’s current format, the accordion works well on mobile devices, but the mechanics of the interface are not suited to responsive designs (for example, the headers are too small to activate on mobile devices).

I should have mentioned that all the other widgets are jQuery UI based widgets, and ARE considered responsive when using a standard jQuery UI theme.
