This is a general issue with all versions of SU – I was just hoping it would have been addressed moving forward in v4. It is a very simple issue and I imagine could be fixed very easily, with great usability enhancement for accordion users. Here is an explanation:
If the contents of a spoiler (once opened up) inside an accordion are lengthy – say more than the page height once you open the spoiler up, when you scroll to the bottom of the text in that spoiler – then the spoiler title will have disappeared off the top of the visible area. Now if you click the next spoiler title beneath this one, the accordion effect will close that original spoiler, and open the new one, but the new spoiler title will have scrolled up the screen to its position below the previous (now collapsed spoiler title) and out of the visible area off the top of the screen. If this new spoiler content is quite short, then it may have disappeared off the top all together. So you are forced to manually scroll up the screen to find the top of your new spoiler content in order to read it.
My suggestion is that when you open a new spoiler (inside an accordion) that the new spoiler title will be automatically scrolled to align with the top of the visible screen area – like an anchor would be displayed. This way you don’t have to go searching for the text you want to read!
This must a simple code change which had great effect.
Any chances Vladimir?
