Accordion side menu in Suffusion- how?

  • First, let me say that I love what I’ve been able to do with Suffusion so far! We’ve had a hand-coded website for a while, and we’re trying to migrate the content to wordpress. I would like to create an accordion-style navigation menu in wordpress that’s similar to our menu at http://www.joyproject.org, but so far have had no luck. So far, all menu links (in wordpress) are shown all on one level, even if links are set to have parents. I’ve also tried jQuery accordion menu, but after building the custom menu and enabling it on our site, I also had no luck.

Essentially, my question is: How do I make an expandable/collapsible sidebar navigation menu in Suffusion? And what is the best method for defining sub-level pages?

Thanks in advance for your help!

If you set up categories, then have posts in the categories, there are plugins that help you expand/collapse categories in your widgets. You can use that approach.

The road block with that suggestion is that we’ve got quite a number of static pages– not posts. Is there anything that works with pages?

You will probably find plugins that help expand/collapse page hierarchies. I am assuming your pages have some kind of a hierarchy.
