[Resolved] Accidentally emptied the wp_options database table

  • Well the other day I used a plugin to clean and optimize database tables but I saw that wp_options table was a bit heavy and I emptied it…now I cannot connect to my site. It says that it cannot connect to one or more database tables. Any suggestions on how to fix this? http://games.lifenea.com is the site I did this stupid thing
    Thank you for any suggestion.

PS I contact my hosting providers but didn’t help much.

  • I would:

    1. Create a new database and install new wordpress there.
    2. Export the table wp_options from that new database.
    3. Import that table to you old site database.

You’ve lost all your settings so you’ll have to reconfigure all options, reactivate and configure the plugins etc.

Thank you for your answer I’ll do it right away and update the post. 🙂

    Ok resolved! Thanks a lot!
