I searched the forums and haven’t been able to find a solution to the problem that I created, although it’s possible that I am using the wrong terminology to search because I am brand new to WordPress.
As an ignorant new WordPress administrator, I made the mistake of going into the General Settings and changing the WordPress Address (URL) & Site Address (URL) of my site from http://yellowleafhammocks.com to http://www.yellowleafhammocks.com and immediately brought disaster upon my site. It is caught in an infinite redirect loop and I can not figure out how to resolve it.
When I try to go to the homepage, I get this message:
Error 310 (net::ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS): There were too many redirects.
I went into WP Engine and set the site back to an earlier “Restore Point”– I felt sure that would fix the problem by overriding my changes, but I still can’t access the site through Chrome or Explorer. I am able to access the homepage in Firefox, which I think might be a cached version?
I hope that I explained the problem clearly and I would be really, really grateful if someone could point me in the right direction to resolve this. Thanks so much!
