Accessing wordpress site over dedicated IP
-
Hello,
I recently switched websites (Moved from WordPress to a dealership integrated website) for a customer and before switching it over I explicitly asked him if he will need to access any old files or pictures from the old site. He gave me a solid NO and told me to make the switch. I changed the A record to the new site and 3 days later he says he forgot to grab some files from the website. I am not too familiar with how wordpress works but it looks like wordpress binded itself to the old domain name so I get 404 errors when trying to open the home page and sub-pages using a dedicated IP associated with my web hosting. I know the easy answer is to re-point the DNS but I dont want the customer to have any downtime and this would only be a temporary solution until the next time he has to access some file or picture. Is there any way to modify a backend file to change the default domain/Ip that wordpress uses?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
