Accessing protected folders

Good day.

I would like to ask if someone have successfully configured their wordpress to access resources from a protected folder. I uploaded mp3s at a password protected folder in my site. When I try to use it with the audio player plugin, it always ask for the username/password.

Is there a way to configure wordpress to auto-login to that folder so that there would be no asking of the username/password? Or a configuration in the .httpaccess file so it would bypass asking questions for resources from the same domain server/refferer?
