Support » Plugins » Access to ‘/!svn/me’ forbidden

  • I’m trying to commit the new version of my plugin. The complete svn folder is empty and now I want to add new stuff. But when I try to commit I get a 403 error: Access to ‘/!svn/me’ forbidden.

I am a 100% sure that I’m using the correct credentials. But I can’t figure out what the problem is.

  • Jeroen,

Did you ever solve this issue? I’m having the same problem via command line. I’m a contributor on a plugin though not the owner

What svn version are you on? I am on Mac with svn, version 1.9.4 (r1740329).

Same problem here. I use Subversion version 1.9.3 (r1718519) via terminal.

svn: E195023: Changing file ‘/var/www/html/dir/file.php’ is forbidden by the server

E195023 and E175013 for this plugin:

I already tried to add –username and –password to the commit, but it doesn’t work for me. Any other solutions?

I’m getting this same issue too!

Any solution? I’m definitely a contributor, but not the owner.

    Same here….Can’t update the plugin

svn: E175013: Access to '/!svn/me' forbidden

Same for me. The username and passwords are correct, but getting the Access to ‘/!svn/me’ forbidden error

The same error. The action is simple update readme for correct links.
    So turning to Java development…

    Same for me.

    Update: SOLVED for me!
This is so stupid! You have multiple logins on! For the SVN don’t use the one from the plugins directory but the one from the support forum.

    1. Scroll down on this page
    2. Click you name in “My Account” section on the right
    3. Click Edit, last menu item
    4. Scroll down to find you username
    5. Copy/paste it to command line. It’s case-sensitive.
