    Hi

I’ve inadvertently blocked access to one of our websites by activating a couple of settings in mini-orange 2FA. I was exploring the other options on the dashboard and I think because I tried setting protect wp_config file and htaccess (amongst others) I’ve damaged the setup.

I’ve tried disabling the plugin through the database, but I don’t have enough knowledge of the other wp_options which may also be causing the problem.

I can’t currently get to the wordpress login. Any help would be appreciated.

    Regards

    Julie

    Hi Julie,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Can you share the screenshot of the issue? Are you blocked on WordPress?
If yes, it might be that your IP is blocked. Can you try accessing the website for any other network like from home or from mobile?

If this is not the issue can you let me know what exactly it is? If possible please send us a request from our support from in the plugin one of the experts will quickly get it to contact you.

For immediate access, you can just rename the miniorange plugin. By renaming the plugin, you automatically deactivate the plugin.

    Thank You.

    Hi

I was totally blocked on WordPress, I got no login page which meant I couldn’t raise a support ticket from the plugin. I was also unable to browse to the site itself. I did try renaming the plugin, disabling all plugins, none of these resolved the issue.

I had a look at the site files using FTP, and noticed that .htaccess had a date/time stamp matching the time of my changes. When I compared the content to another site, there was some extra code added. Once I removed this, everything worked again.

    Won’t be doing that again!

    Regards

    Julie

I’m not sure why this message has been sent!

You can see from my previous reply over 3 months ago, that I resolved the problem myself by using FTP and undoing the changes to .htaccess file made by miniOrange.
