I recently uploaded wordpress to my host, and installed it, no problem at all. However, the problems begin when I try to click links, etc. I get the following error:
403 – Forbidden: Access is denied.
You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied.
Now, say I’m trying to go to site.com (which should be the index to wordpress) a bunch of errors start to occur like above. Now, I’ve changed the default.asp to point it to site.com/wordpress/index.php which works correctly, but that is only one of the many problems…
Once I get to my site, I have the twentyten theme still up for testing, and when I click on a post, it goes to site.com/wordpress/?p=1 and gives me the access is denied error, but when I change the url to site.com/wordpress/index.php/?p=1 it works fine. This essentially fixes all the errors I’m having, by adding /index.php/ before the end, but obviously this isn’t how it should be and I’m wondering how I can fix it.
Again, in the default.asp file on my server, I have set blogname.com to point to mysite.com/blogname/wordpress/index.php, is this correct?
