Access: Can't get the font to be any bigger

  • This is strange. I’m using a tweaked out Twenty Eleven theme and for some reason, the typeface in my theme is not able to get any larger no matter how many times I tweak the font-size in my style.css. The link to the website is here. Any idea why the font won’t get larger?

  • Firstly, nice tweaks. Second, where exactly are you trying to increase the font size? Can you post some relevant CSS so we can see what’s wrong.

    Hi

    I’m having similar problems … Worth looking at this thread (slightly different as I’m trying to change fonts across the site but suspect the method is related)

    …really hoping someone will write a beginners tutorial for this one 🙂

    Well, first off futurepocket, that’s for the compliments. As for where is it? I tried it in a couple of spots:

    #access {
    	/*background: #000; Show a solid color for older browsers */
    	position: absolute;
    	top: 161px;
    	left: 196px;
    	display: block;
    	width: 559px;
    	height: 118px;
    	font-family: 'Nobile', serif;
    	font-weight:bold;
    	font-size: 18px;
    	overflow: hidden;
    	margin: 0px;
    	padding: 0px;
    }

    I also have styling for the font in the dropdown but that shouldn’t affect the main navbar, should it?

    I think I found the solution! I added it to access a instead of access and the font got larger! That’s the solution!
