Support » Plugin: Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent » Accepting marketing cookies at a YT video also enables the statistical ones

    Hello,

This is a very small detail I just noticed.

If one initially accepts only functional cookies, and then tries to see a YouTube video referenced in a post, a box is displayed over the video with the message: “Click here to accept marketing cookies and enable this content.”

If one does, not only marketing cookies are accepted, but also the statistical ones. As accepting the former does not seem to imply that the latter need to be also accepted–given than one can manually accept either without having to accept the other– either the text should indicate that both categories will be accepted after clicking on the message box, or only the marketing cookies should be actually be marked as accepted, which would be in accordance with the current text.

    Kind regards,
    Guillermo

    Hi @gmads,

In essence, it works like the “Accept All” button on your cookie banner, which triggers all categories. You can change the text under Complianz > Settings.

At our end, we will look how to make this text dynamic based on the website’s configuration.

    regards Aert

    Hello Aert,

Indeed, it does. Ah… I missed that setting.

Given that blocked content has to do with marketing cookies, I’d say that it should only enable that specific category.

    Thanks once again,
    Guillermo
