• I’m building a site for a non-profit. They bank with BB&T and want to have a donations page. I’m ready to set them up with a Paypal donation plugin but since the percentage Paypal takes is so high I wanted to try to see if I could do something different. What’s the process they would need to go through to have a donation page link directly to their bank account or something like that? Thanks.

I’m looking for the same functionality. I’m thinking of inputting different preselected amounts in wp e-commerce but I really need something that allows an arbitrary amount to be input, using BB&T’s merchant gateway as well.

To be perfectly honest, you’ll likely have to hire on a plugin developer to create something like this for you. It’s not an easy task, and you probably won’t get any help on how to do this here.

i guess I don’t understand the complexity because each of these components is widely available in other plugins. Most ecommerce plugins can use payment gateways other than paypal. I use one right now. All the donation plugins can take donations, only they all seem to use paypal. If only to help me better understand what to ask for when hiring someone, what makes putting those two bits of functionality in one plugin so difficult?
