Abstract / Excerpt / Teaser

    Pardon my French, totally new to administer a WP site…

    My problem is that in the “flow” of all posts on my frontpage where all posts are shown one after another. All the posts are shown in all their glory, all text all images, everything, even if I have the setting to show an “abstract” for posts in the “flow”. It seems to work if I turn of UAM… Anyone else has this problem? Hopefully it is just a setting…

    I run my site in Swedish so its kinda hard googling for the issue when I’m not friendz with all the WP-terms and settings and what their name are in English… I tried stuff like UAM excerpt, WP abstract, WP excerpt and more…

    Sorry I don’t get it. The word “abstract” or what is shown? Could you provide a screenshot?

    What I have understood it exists something that is called “Excerpt” https://codex.wordpress.org/Excerpt that you can write as a short summary for a post. But the “Excerpt” is a manual written shorter version of a post.

    But when I say “abstract” I mean a shorter automagically WP-created text of a post, say for example the 100 first chars of a post…

    And there is a setting in WP that states, something like this when translated from Swedish to English “Posts in flow shows as” “all text” or “abstract of text”

    That is this setting does not seem to change anything in the flow…
