Absolutely no widgets work on 2014 theme!

I just switched my blog theme to Twenty Fourteen and am trying to put widgets into my sidebars, but no matter what widgets I add, even widgets that came with the theme, they do not show up on the page. This is true of both the left and right sidebars. I can’t even get the meta to show up. Only the search and comments widgets that were present from before the theme change remain. If you look, there are currently 5 widgets installed on the left sidebar and 2 on the right, but only the two previously installed are visible.
