• I’ve never built a website or used WP. I don’t understand anything beyond buying a domain name (www.siteA.com- it’s like buying a blank canvas) and paying for the name to be hosted on a server. (To me it’s like renting a blank billboard to hang my canvas on… a canvas that I will write a message on)
I own 2 domain names. I’ll call them siteA and siteB.
I’m hosting both sites on BlueHost.
I started building siteA (writing my message) using WP 4.4.2 with X-Theme and Cornerstone editor. It is not live/public yet. (I DO NOT know ANYTHING about code/coding)
My siteA looks like a generic beginner set it up… because I did.
My son knows coding (HE’S NOT TOO FAMILIAR WITH WP) and is going to help me create a professional looking site so I want to use siteB for him to practice on. If siteB comes out the way I want it then I will figure out how to go public with the correct domain name, for now I need to have the ability to work on each of the sites independent of the other.
IS IT POSSIBLE TO DO THIS USING MY CURRENT ADMIN LOGIN?
    or
IS IT SUGGESTED TO BUILD TWO SITES UNDER ONE ADMIN OR SHOULD I SET UP A COMPLETELY INDEPENDENT WP ADMIN?
I also need to learn how to back-up my sites but don’t understand how, or where the back-up will be kept/hosted/saved.
DOES ANYONE HAVE A VIDEO FOR TRUE ROOKIES THAT SHOWS SETTING UP AND BUILDING AN ACTUAL SITE?
THEN SETTING UP A SECOND SITE AND BUILDING IT?

Thank you in advance for your help and for breaking it down into kindergartners language!!!

  • …siteA and siteB.
    …both sites on BlueHost.

BlueHost cPanel knows one or the other of those as your Primary Domain, and then the second is an Add-On Domain. Your public “root” folder is public_html, and your Primary Domain can only be assigned to that folder. However, you can assign your Add-On Domain to any folder (make your own) inside public_html and then access it directly and exclusively as siteB.com.

As to backups, you need these for each WordPress installation:

wp-config.php (file from cPanel > File Manager)
/wp-content/ (folder from cPanel > File Manager)
database (sql file exported from cPanel > phpMyAdmin)
