I hear you. Depending on the source of the issue I can fix the problem. Are the emails you are referring to created using another plugin or are they WordPress emails as in new user registration etc. If it’s the latter can you let me know of the specific email you are having problems with? I’m not 100% familiar with all of the features that send emails in the WP core so a little direction would help. But it’s not necessary so either way I’ll fix it.

If it is a third party plugin just let me know what you are using and I’ll either work around the plugin, or work with the plugin’s authors.

    Thanks!

Hello Marcus, my initial post was a month ago; right now I don’t recall the details. But like I wrote in my post the problem occurred with comment notification emails; possibly with Jetpack, or out-of-the-box WP. In some cases I also use the “WP Better Emails” plugin. Rather than fixing several 3rd party plugins you maybe could modify your mechanism and add some conditions as to where you reduce links to root level?
    Thanks for looking into this,
