• I am new to WordPress and currently building my first site with Absolum theme. I want the recent posts to scroll past in a slideshow in the header but when I go to dashboard/appearance/absolum settings and hit the drop down for Display last post static/slideshow, if I select slow, normal or fast slideshow then my site only displays the site title, top menu bar and my background image (no content or sidebar at all). If I select “last post – static” I get the site title, top menu bar and my background image and an error message where the header would normally be (and no other content). I can’t read the whole error message because the font is large and the words are jumbled up but it starts “fatal error call to undefined function…” and ends “.. \wp-content\themes\absolum\functions.php on line 1113”
I know it works because I’ve seen it on other sites. My site is at http://www.groovechild.co.uk/wtw

Um, so not exactly an overwhelming response.

I have now moved my site to the root folder of the domain, whereas it was previously in a sub folder and have upgraded to WordPress 3.3.1 and Absolum 1.1.5. One of these actions or possibly something else has solved the problem and the slideshow works.

I spoke too soon here. The slideshow works now but the customer header doesn’t.
When I select a new header image from my local hard drive and click the upload button WP returns to the Manage Themes page without uploading anything. I have tried reverting to Absolum 1.1.1 and reinstalling WordPress 3.3.1
    Disheartening. I’m very glad I didn’t donate!
