Above the fold not clear

Hello,

For work i need to train myself to work more and better with wordpress. the building of a site is mostly no problem, since there isn’t much code involved except the few css lines.

Now i’m asked to get a good PageSpeed result.

First i’m getting some images that need to be resized.. Used several plugins allrdy, and changed some manual, still i get a few that should be improved. This isn’t much of a problem since i know where and how to get this done.

The problem is JavaScript and CSS in content above the fold that blocks.

I got 23 scripts and 13 css.

I’m using minify in W3 Total Cache, but with no result at all.. The only things happening is that when i move script in the JS minify settings sometimes my revolution slider is gone, or my menu, but even then i keep getting the same amount of blocking scripts and css. I searched around and there are different suggestions around.
Before /head on non-blocking using “async” and defaulth blocking and defer are the 3 i found in different pages.. Still i can’t see any difference except the removal of my menu or rev slider at the top.

I would love to understand more of this ‘above the fold’ my pagespeed isn’t terrible.. it’s 75, but that’s still in that ugly orange.. And i would love to atleast get it to show up green 😉
