Hi @ljvd,
Absolutely – I’d love to see those translations approved. Adding translation editors is handled by the Polyglots team. If you’d like to, you can post a request on the #polyglots channel in the WordPress Slack that you become the editor of French translations for Chaplin.

Thank you @anlino .
I took a quick look, and didn’t get it 🙂
I hope there will be other members to take care of it…
@ljvd No worries! I’ll post in the Slack channel and see if I can get you set up as editor.
Dear @anlino,
I would like to join @ljvd request regarding integration of new languages into the theme. I contributed to translation of Chaplin into Russian – now it is 99% translated. However, I don’t know what to do next to move it forward. Help from your side would be appreciated.
Regards,
Stanislav

Sounds like the translation process is a mess …
Nothing activated for me for the French translation despite the @anlino efforts.
Indeed, Chaplin is an amazing theme, and deserve all our local support!
Thanks to the russian team :p
Dear @ljvd,
Russian language pack is ready and I already updated my theme ))
As I understand the whole translation into French is also ready. However, it is not approved by an editor. In this case I can suggest contacting via slack two editors contributed to your project and asking them to approve all pending suggestions. This is what I did yesterday – and today everything is done.
Thanks @stanislavpankov
I’m in the french slack, but it works more like the former communist russia, a lot of administrative work before seeing something move 😉 In short, culturally very French ;p
Hey @ljvd, as I can see your translation hasn’t been approved yet. As an option I can suggest requesting GTE to appoint you as a theme editor (PTE) following this instructions https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/handbook/rosetta/roles-and-capabilities/pte-request/#pte-request-by-a-translator .
Thanks @stanislavpankov
Sounds like despite some requests in their channel, french translators aren’t ready to assist, sorry about that. I tried to help, but these barriers and procedures are just insurmountable without a little assistance and collaboration …
If someone else wants to get started, 95% of the work is already done…
