• On my blog, tracybookmanphotography.com/blog, there is a comment in the sidebar that says, “About this blog. This is a sidebar example to show how it could look. Customize your sidebar by adding Widgets in WP Admin > Design > Widgets or edit the sidebar files on your own.”

    I can’t find any where to change or delete that. How do I do it? I have gone into Appearance/Widgets, but don’t see how to edit or delete it.

    Thanks!

  • You have to edit the Sidebar.php file and replace that text with your choice.

    Wow! I have no idea what to do with this file. I did a search for “about this blog” but it’s not there.
    Now what?

    In the Disciple theme folder there is a file named “siderbar2.php”.

    Open it with a plain text editor and find this;

    <li class="widget">
    <h2>About this blog</h2>
    <p>This is a sidebar example to show how it could look. Customize your sidebar by adding Widgets in WP Admin > Design > Widgets or edit the sidebar files on your own.</p>
    </li>

    Edit it to your liking and save the changes.

    That did it!
    Thank you very much!
