 * Hi,
 * With Dublicator, is it possible to create a staging site for testing in a subfolder
   of the same hosting?
   And after finishing, to push back the staging to the production
   site?
 * Thanks in advance

 * Hello [@siteworks](https://wordpress.org/support/users/siteworks/) ,
 * Thanks for reaching out to us.
 * Duplicator can help you create a staging website for testing in a subfolder.
   To do so, follow these steps:
    - Create a backup of the website you need to clone into your testing website

      This article shows how to create a backup: [Creating Your First Backup – Duplicator](https://duplicator.com/knowledge-base/backup-site/)
    - Download the backup archive and the installer.php files
    - Create the subfolder for the testing website.
    - Upload the backup archive and the installer.php files to the subfolder
    - Install the backup on the testing website as instructed in this article:
      [https://duplicator.com/knowledge-base/classic-install/](https://duplicator.com/knowledge-base/classic-install/)
 * When you are done with your testing/development, use the same steps above to
   clone the testing website into the website you prefer.
 * I hope this helps. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
   We are happy to help.
 * Thanks!

 * Hi,
 * thanks for the answer.
 * I understand that this procedure is manual.
 * I was asking if Dublicator has a feature that the same things could be achieved
   automatically.

 * Hi [@siteworks](https://wordpress.org/support/users/siteworks/) ,
 * Unfortunately, Duplicator doesn’t have an option to automatically migrate/clone
   a website.
 * Thanks!

 * Hi [@siteworks](https://wordpress.org/support/users/siteworks/) ,
 * We haven’t heard back from you in a few days, so I’m going to go ahead and close
   this thread for now. But if you’d like us to assist further, please feel welcome
