About page not showing up when viewing website, but showing when I edit the page

    Hi everyone,

    I am having a problem with one of my website pages. When I click on the “About” page nothing shows up and it displays a “nothing found” message,” with the sentence “It seems we can’t find what you’re looking for. Perhaps searching can help.”

    However, when I go in to edit my site and hit “edit” in the dashboard, the page shows up exactly as it should be. What am I doing wrong? The rest of the site is exactly how I want it.

    The link in your menu may not be going to the right page, so double-check that at Appearance > Menus in your site’s Dashboard: https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Menu_User_Guide

    If that is the right page, make sure it’s actually published and not saved as a draft.

    Hello laureng2013,

    It may be a url problem. When you add the “About” page into menu ( Apperance -> Menus ), you add it directly from the “Pages” tab, or you add it like a custom link ( “Custom Links” tab )?
    For the first instance (you add it from the “Pages” tab ), take a look for duplicate pages. You must be sure that the page which is in the menu is the right one.
    For the second instance ( “Custom Links” tab ), make sure that you’ve coppied the right url. Ex: “http://www.yoursite.com/About-page”

    I had to go in and delete the page and create a new about page. It’s working now. Thanks for your help and suggestions!
