  • Edit the About page (admin panel, pages, edit, ‘about’)

    Peter

The text on the ‘About Me’ page and the shorter version on the first page are different. So my guess is that one won’t affect the other!

ow, that one (didn’t see it): in sidebar.php, I guess.

Can anybody help me with this issue. On the first page of my blog there is small bio to the top right of the screen.

I would like to edit this, however I am unsure how to do this.

Has anybody got any good ideas?

if you mean the about me bubble it is an image located in this directory:

    images/about.png

A manual way of doing it would be to replace that image with one containing the text you want (i.e. make a speech bubble image in photoshop and replace the original)

This, however, does not seem the easiest way to do this and the only other thing I could suggest is in wp-admin, the theme you are using should have its own control panel (under “themes” > “theme settings”) where theme is the name of your theme.

There I would hope there is a box to edit the text that appears in that bubble image although I am not familiar with that theme

I can’t find theme (my theme) settings in wp-admin!

Do I need to download a plugin?

This is listed as “resolved”. How did you do it?
I’m having the same problem with my own blog.

The bio on the main blog page is an image.

If you have software to edit the image, find the image in your website files and eithe rproduce another one or edit that one.

I’ve not done mine yet; I’m living with it for the time being!

    Regards

    Paul
