    This is a two-part question:

    1. The font color for my posts ends up being the same color as my Header color. Is it not possible to change font color in posts?

    2. Right now, I cannot change the color of the font on either my Header or my Highlight color. Originally, I chose #7c7c7c, but I want to change this to a darker color. I go to Appearance > Customize > Site Colors. I then choose a new color, but nothing changes (it doesn’t even work if I save/publish).

I’m new to WordPress… please let me know if this issue needs to be fixed on Brasserie in general or if it’s just me having the problem. My website: http://apb-eats.com/

    Thanks!

  • You need to tell people what theme you are using, what version of wordpress, etc. Themes all offer different options and handle those options in different ways. They also usually have a support forum just for that theme. No one can really help without knowing what theme it is.

I’m not sure why changing the color in the same place you did originally doesn’t effect the change on the font. Are you sure you are looking in the same place where you set it the first time? If you’ve selected save/publish are you reloading the page you wish to view? Have you tried clearing the cache and then loading it again? Probably not the issue but it won’t hurt to try… it sounds like a refresh problem…

In appearance for the theme I am using the support for that theme is listed just under the customize option. They can tell you more specifically how to work with what that theme offers.

With all due respect, I’m posting in the Brasserie theme forum (it says so at the top). If I’m wrong about this, please explain why it says “Brasserie” (maybe I’m missing something?) But I also mentioned that I’m using the Brasserie theme in my topic post (if you read my entire question.) As well, I gave the version of WP I’m using when I first filled out the topic field to post this question.

Thank you for trying to help, but I already did all the things you said, including clearing my cache and refreshing. This is not the first glitch I’ve hit — I posted here a couple days ago.

    Hello,

which method are you using to change font colors in posts? css changes or just using the WordPress post editing tools? I have just tested changing the color using the editing tools and it works fine.

In Appearance > Customize > Site Colors, the header color changes the main website header title only while the theme highlight color changes selected text and background colors but not post title colors. Again these have been tested and work fine on all of our installations.

If you send me temporary login details to support@templateexpress.com I will try and find where you are going wrong.

    Hi —

As I described in my first post, I’m using the editing tools — I’m doing exactly what you’re saying: Appearance > Customize > Site Colors. This worked for me the very first time I set up my blog — it allowed me to choose my colors. But now, when I try to change the colors, it doesn’t work on the Headers OR the Hightlight text. It will let me pick the ones I want, but then it won’t save the changes.

I will send you my login details. Thanks for you help in advance.

I will close this one as resolved if you don’t mind Lisa? there seemed to be a strange caching issue where you didn’t see your changes but after some testing the theme appears to be working as it should.

    thanks
    Ossie
