Hello sarana01
Thanks for contacting WooCommerce support!
Please do not apologize. We’re here to help answer your questions, and we’re glad you reached out.
It’s important to note that abandoned cart emails are not a part of the core WooCommerce functionality. WooCommerce does provide a “New Order” email notification, which is triggered when a new order is received and informs the customer that their order is being processed.
Regarding the Woocommerce Abandoned Cart Recovery by Addify plugin, since it’s a third-party plugin distinct from WooCommerce’s built-in options, the emails related to abandoned carts or pending orders that it generates operate independently of those in the WooCommerce settings.
Creating separate templates as instructed by the plugin allows for specialized handling of these scenarios outside of what WooCommerce offers by default.
In this case, you wouldn’t necessarily need to deactivate the standard emails in the WooCommerce Email settings unless they are conflicting or redundant with your abandoned cart setup.
However, for details on how to properly configure the plugin and use it alongside an Email Customizer, I recommend reaching out directly to Addify’s support team. They would be the best point of contact to answer specific questions about their plugin’s features and integration with other tools.
They can provide you with detailed guidance on how to connect their email templates with your Email Customizer, or if that’s feasible within their current plugin setup.
If you have any more questions regarding WooCommerce features or need further assistance, feel free to get in touch. 🙂
Thank you, Zubair. I’ll reach out to Addify.
Hey @sarana01,
Thank you, Zubair. I’ll reach out to Addify.
Just to add – if you have purchased the
Abandoned Cart Recovery by Addify extension from Woo.com, and have a valid license, please can you reach out to us directly via Woo.com > My Account > Support. You may need to log in to the account used to purchase the extension before you are able to access that page.
As per the forum guidelines, no support for premium extensions is done here but we will be happy to assist you further from there. 🙂
Cheers!
Hi Roxy,
thank you for letting me know. I’m often confused as to where to go to ask for support. This helps!
