    When the plugin gets the email for an abandonded cart automation?
    I supposed that this is working also when a user subscribe to newsletter but I cannot se that happens in my end with my emails.

    @dichagr, the email is captured as soon as a customer moves out of the email input at checkout in your store. If you are not seeing emails pushed over to Mailchimp (as transactional), please let us know and we’ll be glad to investigate further.

    Hello khungate.

    Our problem is that we supposed that if a customer register in our newsletter popup (with Mailchimp form) this means that you can use his email for Abandonded cart automation.
    But unfortunately this not happens.

    Is this supposed to work or it is not an implemented feature?

    Now I think the only way to work with automations, it is only if a user is logined.

    I can also say, this feature does not seem to be working. I have tested several ways, including logged in user and guest checkout. No emails sent. Is there a trouble-shooting guide, or can one be created? In searching for the answer, I have found many people experiencing this problem (going back years) but no solutions posted other than bug fixes or “since we haven’t heard from you…” closures (only to seem more people experience the problem).

    @dichagr, the scenario you’re describing is not an abandoned cart situation. If you would like to trigger automations in Mailchimp when someone signs up for your newsletter, you can do that inside the Mailchimp app.

    @aaron843, abandoned carts have been tested extensively and they are working as expected. If you are experiencing issues, you may want to perform a fresh uninstall/install of the plugin as well as recreating your automations. In most cases, if messages aren’t firing there is some sort of disjoint between the store install and the ‘Connected Site’ in Mailchimp.

    If you continue to experience problems, we recommend reaching out to Mailchimp directly. They would be able to access your account and investigate further. You can reach out to their excellent customer service team over at https://mailchimp.com/help/. You should be able to chat with them and take things from there.
