A way to add image size to code?

Is there a way to get the size of the images (width and height) that Nivo Slider loads, included in the code that calls the images? Just pursuing optimization schemes, and files without dimensions, I take it, load more slowly… got the idea from reviewing site with Nivo Slide images of 1000 x 288 pixels
<img src=”http://www.mysite.com/wp-content/uploads/nivoslider4wp_files/1_s.jpeg” alt=”” title=””/>
height=”288″ width=”1000″ is what I need to add.
