A way to add a left column/sidebar?

    I was wondering if there was a way to add a sidebar or column on the left side so I could throw a vertical banner up alongside my entries. Any thoughts on how to go about this? I’m not a CSS master by any means so I can use all the help I can get. My website is http://www.hattscrib.com if it helps.
