I have a few strings that are translated via Polyglot but the plugin doesn’t seem to read them. How can I solve the issue?

can you post a link to whatever you have translated?
    plugin/theme/whatever else? locale?

hello, plugin is Memphis Doc, locale is Italian, and there are strings translated by me and others which are stored in the stable version but not visible in the theme,

The reason is written in clear in a banner on :
Translations for the readme are published almost immediately. The language pack for the plugin will be generated when 95% of the Stable (latest release) sub-project strings have been translated (currently 87%).

So you (or someone else) needs to translate a few strings more and then nudge an editor to approve them. Once at least 95% of the strings have been translated and approved, the language pack will be generated and distributed automatically.

It is possible to start using the translation earlier.
    Variant one: Use plugin

Variant two: Go to page for translation. In the bottom of the page there’s an export function. Export in mo-format.
Rename the file to and put it in /wp-content/languages/plugins/

thank you very much for the clarifications 🙂

nudge an editor to approve them

sorry, I translated the whole thing… how do you contact the editor? there’s no email in the Polyglot age

We do that by tagging them. Usually that happens in but it’s fine here, too.
But first a question to you @arsenalemusica if the translation quality is ok, would you be interested in being appointed as PTE (project translation editor) for this plugin in Italian? (Since it’s all based on volunteer efforts, nobody will force you to maintain the translations, but if you see that something needs to be fixed, you’ll have the power to do it without waiting for someone else to check it for you…)
Let’s first send a notification to all people in the Italian team: #it_IT
Next, these nice people are listed over at
We can also mention, say, Paolo personally @wolly if you’d be able to have a look?

yes, I guess you can put me on as PTE… I’m nailed to this PC all day, so I guess I’ll find time to double check translations 🙂

    Ciao a tutti.

I see there is a PTE for your plugin, maybe now is become inactive.

If you want to become PTE for ypur plugin, please, join us on our slack, and we’ll follow you to italian guidelines.
