    Hi getmuzeek,

    Thanks for reaching out.

Advanced Ads will create the ads.txt for you. However, if such a file already exists in your root directory, Advanced Ads will not overwrite it but shows you the hint you quoted.

You have created your currently available ads.txt with AdsTxtManager.com. If you did not use a plugin that you can deactivate, I recommend deleting the file from your installation’s root directory via FTP. Then Advanced Ads can create an ads.txt for you.

Suppose you want to keep the current entries of your ads.txt. In that case, I recommend copying them into a text document and, after deleting the ads.txt, paste these entries into the corresponding field in Advanced Ads > Settings > General > ads.txt.

You can find more information on how to create ads.txt with Advanced Ads here.

Please let me know if you have any further questions about ads.txt.

    Best regards,
    Joachim

    Hey Joachim,

    Thanks for your reply.

I already deleted the ads.txt file from the root directory. But the error is still showing “A third-party file exists: https://www.getmuzeek.com/ads.txt”

Also, in AdSense account tab I got this warning as well.

“`AdSense no longer shows YouTube metrics. To see your estimated earnings and other monetization metrics use the YouTube Analytics Revenue report. dismiss
Important: Check if additional tax information is required from you. All YouTube creators and partners are required to submit tax information to ensure any applicable taxes on your payments are accurate. dismiss
One of your sites is missing the AdSense publisher ID in the ads.txt file. Create one now. Learn more about AdSense account issues here. dismiss`”

Please help me out on this.

    Thanks-

    Hi getmuzeek,

    Thanks for your reply.

I already deleted the ads.txt file from the root directory.

The file is not created by Advanced Ads and it is still available. Please double-check if you see it via FTP or disable the dedicated plugin for its integration.

Also, in AdSense account tab I got this warning as well.

Advanced Ads imports all warnings from your AdSense account. The change regarding the YouTube revenues is only a notification. You can dismiss it, since it does not affect the revenues from your website.

One of your sites is missing the AdSense publisher ID in the ads.txt file. Create one now.

This warning can be triggered if you have placed your AdSense codes on multiple websites and one of them does not provide the ads.txt. Alternatively, it can still show up if you provided your ads.txt very recently and Google did not crawl it yet.

    Best regards,
    Joachim

I just double-checked in my WordPress admin dashboard and now I removed the Adsense code in the Insert Headers and Footers » Settings.

But the file is still available: https://www.getmuzeek.com/ads.txt

Does it will take some time to auto remove?

    Hi,

The ads.txt file is not created by the AdSense code that you embedded via Insert Header and Footers.

You placed this file either manually in your root directory or, what I guess, created it with a plugin like Ads.txt Manager.

Can you please confirm that you don’t run any plugins that create an ads.txt?

    Best regards,
    Joachim

The only plugin I have installed is Advanced Ads. I don’t add any other plugin like Ads.txt Manager.

However, I have created an ads.txt file manually, but when I installed and activated Advanced Ads I deleted the Ads.txt from FileZilla.

I have cleared the cache as well. But the file is still there. https://www.getmuzeek.com/ads.txt

    Hi getmuzeek,

    Thanks for the clarification.

As mentioned, is this file not created or provided by Advanced Ads. You can identify the file created by Advanced Ads in the first entry (# Advanced Ads ads.txt).

I recommend seaching the current file again with FileZilla and removing it, because your file is still there.

I have connected my site with Ezoic. Maybe the ads.txt file comes from there, what do you think?

    Thread Starter getmuzeek

    (@getmuzeek)

Yes! I double-checked the file coming from Ezoic, now what can I do?

    schmidt25

    (@schmidt25)

If the current file contains all entries that you need, I would disable the ads.txt option of Advanced Ads.

If you want to use the ads.txt option of Advanced Ads, I would disable the ads.txt feature in Ezoic and enable this option of Advanced Ads.

Finally, it is only a text file and needs to contain the entries of your ad network. It is not important how you create the file, but more that you provide it.

    Best regards,
    Joachim

Ok, I have disabled the ads.txt option of Advanced Ads.

    Hi getmuzeek,

Sounds good. As mentioned, finally, the ads.txt is only a file and if it contains all entries needed, it is unnecessary, how you create the file.

    Hi Joachim,

I am still facing this error message, however, my ezoic ads.txt file is connected.
“Earnings at risk – You need to fix some ads.txt file issues to avoid severe impact to your revenue.”

I can not find the problem. May I know what can I do?

    Hi getmuzeek,

There are only three possibilities why this notification still appears:

    1. You use your AdSense codes also on another site, which does not have an ads.txt ready.
    2. AdSense has not yet crawled the existing ads.txt.
    3. Your AdSense Pub-ID is not stored in the ads.txt from Ezoic (this is what I guess). Since there are several such entries here, I can’t check this for you, but you have to look for it yourself.

Otherwise, you still have the alternative not to use the Ads.txt Manager from Ezoic but to copy the existing ads.txt entries into the corresponding field of the Ads.txt settings of Advanced Ads and create the file with our plugin.

If you connect Advanced Ads with your AdSense account, Advanced Ads will add your pub ID automatically to the ads.txt.

    Best regards,
    Joachim

    Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me.

    1. You use your AdSense codes also on another site, which does not have an ads.txt ready.

Yes, you’re right, I have removed the code from two of my sites.

    2. AdSense has not yet crawled the existing ads.txt.

Alright! but how we can check if google crawled the existing ads.txt or not?

    3. Your AdSense Pub-ID is not stored in the ads.txt from Ezoic (this is what I guess). Since there are several such entries here, I can’t check this for you, but you have to look for it yourself.

I have cross checked and didn’t find my AdSense Pub-ID in the current Ads.txt file.

    Also, you said

“not to use the Ads.txt Manager from Ezoic”

    I think it’s a requirement from Ezoic. Check this > https://prnt.sc/217re5e
