[Resolved] A Theme that will let me in…

  • v 2.1.2

I’ll take any theme that will let me into its code. Every theme I’ve uploaded so far will not let me in.

I went to its properties in my directory and changed it to 777, but still the taunt at the bottom of the page – I could edit it if it was a writeable file.

That’s all I want in life. A writeable file for my theme…

  • You must change each individual file to 666 for the theme editor. Not really a safe practice (nor is 777) as they should be 644.

You solved it. I went in and did it, and it worked. It’s the best thing that’s happened to me all day.

    Thanks!

Be SURE once you’re through editing that you change the file permissions back to 644 and the folder permissions back to 755. It’s very dangerous to leave them set looser than that.
