I came back to this plugin, following looking at a few wikipedia pages and noticing the tooltips on there.

The WPA tooltips however direct you to a new page, meaning that you can then have a look/ research/ perve and stalk this new page, with no sign at all of an internal glossary page.

    So to my suggestion:

The only way that I can achieve a WPA effect at the moment, is to turn all links in the pop-up OFF and leave only the pop-up showing, otherwise a user will get taken to the glossary page.

Could a link to the original page be added instead of forcing my users to go to the glossary page, as I’ve already tried adding the original page to the pop-up, and the pop-up just flies off to the right?

    Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion, we actually have this feature available in the Pro+ version of the plugin (it’s possible not to create glossary pages at all and to link term to a custom url).

Well that sounds like a much better idea.

Does it allow internal link image+excerpt pop-ups, without having to do any messing around with shortcodes or parameters, as I’ve got loads of internal links, and putting shortcodes to all of them would be a time-waster, ruining the time saved by using the ‘link whisper’ plugin?

    Hi,

Unfortunately it won’t help with the existing internal links, our plugin is great at creating links on it’s own from the defined Glossary Terms, but adding image+excerpt pop-ups would require different approach (actually finding existing links and assigning tooltips to them).

Ah, so everything revolves around the glossary then?

Pity about that, as I’m certain that tooltips for internal links would work just as well, if not better, than a user trying to find their way out of the glossary.
